SNT Motiv booth in operation at SHOT Show 2026 in the United States, showcasing its latest small-arms lineup and technologies. The event, which has drawn roughly 2,700 exhibitors from around the globe, provides SNT Motiv with a platform to promote the global competitiveness of Korea-made small arms and expand its international sales activities, particularly in the U.S. market.
At the exhibition, the company is highlighting its newly developed Less Lethal Revolver and matching Less Lethal ammunition, which secured a supply contract with South Korea’s National Police Agency late last year. Designed to replace the legacy .38-caliber revolver, the new 9mm revolver is capable of firing low-risk rounds, standard ammunition, and blank cartridges.
SNT Motiv’s proprietary Less Lethal ammunition features a plastic projectile and optimized muzzle velocity, delivering approximately one-tenth the physical impact of conventional rounds while maintaining sufficient stopping capability. The ammunition successfully completed all required inspections and testing last year, the company said.
With global demand rising for law-enforcement solutions that can subdue suspects while minimizing casualties, SNT Motiv is stepping up overseas marketing of its Less Lethal Revolver and ammunition systems. The company is also in ongoing discussions with UTM, a U.K.-based training ammunition manufacturer, to expand sales channels and supply networks. UTM training rounds are viewed as a safer and more efficient alternative for military tactical and individual small-arms training.
To further strengthen its global competitiveness, SNT Motiv said it is pursuing broader cooperation with major international firearms manufacturers, including Colt of the United States and Germany’s Heckler & Koch, following memoranda of understanding signed during Seoul International Aerospace & Defense Exhibition 2025 last year.
“Our goal is to ensure that the technology, design, and quality of Korean-made small arms are fully recognized in the United States, the world’s largest firearms market,” an SNT Motiv official said. “With our U.S. subsidiary, SNT Defense, securing sales and manufacturing licenses, we expect to accelerate local production and supply in earnest.”
During SHOT Show 2026, the company is also presenting a full lineup of small arms—including pistols, rifles, machine guns, and sniper rifles—ranging from export models previously introduced to the U.S. market to newly developed systems currently under development.
